Default Scrapes already?????

Seems to be awful early here, but I found several scrapes while out scouting & hanging the final few stands this weekend. One was in the middle of a 4 wheeler trail & the other 3 were in a hardwoods/pine thicket just off a main trail (more like a major highway [8D]). I remember telling my buddy earlier in the spring that we needed a stand near those trails. I can' t wait!

Do you think these are a young buck just possibly trying to mark some territory or is it possible they were made by a mature buck?

I' ll be moving the camera to this location in a couple of weeks, so I guess we' ll see then.

Did I mention I can' t wait?!

Mike - I see scrapes all year long.

You never know - could be a little buck getting a bit ahead of himself.

Or the big boy - getting his mark down early

or could just be a little doe[:-]

A doe???? I' ve never seen a doe make a scrape. The one set that we found is definitely a scrape line. All in a row along the side of a main trail way up in the thick stuff. Can' t wait to get the game cam out there.

Every deer in the woods will use and/or make scrapes. They don' t really mean much till closer to the rut

Hey Mike, maybe it' s just a young buck putting the polish on those
new horns, or maybe just helping himself take of the rest of his velvet.
Or the story that I would stick too, it' s a gaint mature buck and he is
making his presence known. Call me when you get the pictures.
