Default Passing Gas

OK Lets face it we have all done it on stand.

The question is does it effect the setup ?

Does it bother the deer? Do they even know what it is?

How do we combat it?

A Scent Loc suit may prevent most of the odor from going into to the surounding air, but some times it is strong enough to go right through the suit.

Maybe a device like the cough silencer may work for the sound but will it contain the odor?

If it will drive the wife and kids from the room im sure the deer would do the same![][X(]

I was bowhunting with my dad years ago and we were spaced about 20 yards apart viewing seperate trails. Dad was really bad that morning after 2 cups of coffee and those sausauge and egg breakfast biscuits. A couple of times that morning I would hear him let some rip. I could hear it from 20 yards so I can imagine how far the deer heard it. A couple of hours into the morning a small four point came amblimg down the trail near my stand. I was waiting for a good shot when all of a sudden Dad let out a humongous self made buck grunt. The buck actually started walking in that direction looking all around for the source of the sound. He presented a good shot but I was shaking so bad from laughing that I couldnt draw my bow back. Dad was doing the same and that lucky little buck walked away without a scratch.[]

Well I really do not know if the manly aroma spooks them or not,[] but I don' t worry about the sound, down home we always called them buck snorts!

A new grunt call and a new cover scent all rolled into 1? Sounds like I need to stop at the local covienence store for a spicy burrito & a coke before I go hunting! [&:]
