WW hunt
Fieldmouse, please let me know how I can contact you regarding your friend. I cannot send you PM's.
We did one of these hunts two years ago for a paralyzed PA hunter and would like to offer another wounded veteran a chance at a deer hunt. A caregiver is welcome.
The hunt will take place with an outfitter in Western Illinois (he is not seeking any publicity so his name will not be published here). The hunt , lodging and some meals are free. Last time we were able to get DNR tags free of charge and will try to do so again this year.
The preferred week is October 1-5. This will be a bow hunt although a crossbow is also acceptable as per DNR rules.
Please reply with a PM or email and I'll get back to you with questions about the veteran's service and injuries.

That is awesome that you’re doing this. I had TBI but there’s way more deserving vets out there. Just contact the local VA maybe they could pass it on, and get you in contact with someone. Also any big Army Post has what’s called a WTU. Warrior Transition Unit who solely takes care of transitioning wounded soldiers. Hey if you need any help let me know. I could maybe get some numbers.
