I stopped counting lost, broken or unrepairable arrows in 1970. That' s including the then top of the line cedar shaft Bear razor tipped ones

I have ruined more than my share

I still buy a few dozen a year - even carbons I find get a slight wobble to them after many shots - and I like my hunting arrows straight

I just started my 3rd dozen since I started shootn 2 1/2 years ago. I' ve lost most to the dreaded mungrel thick as a brick scrub[:@][>:]. Couple broken on pigs n dogs. 2 split from partial robin hoods.

I don' t loose alot of fletches coz I have learnt it' s alot cheaper to shoot at different spots on the target.

I' ve been told that blackets strung up to form two couple inch thick walls works to stop stray arrows. But I think it would have to be a pretty thick wall of blankets to stop an arrow at 300fps.
Might work.

An easier way to fix the stray arrow problem is simply do what I do and only hit the bullseye[]In my dreams[:-][:-]

The vast majority are burried in my lawn somewhere about 1/2" below the surface
Thats why I bought a cheap metal detector. Saves in the long run.[8D]

You know all about the Sahara Forest being void of trees.... well that' s because they used all the wood making arrows for me early on.
