Default Release Hand

Ok i was praticing that back tension shot and just slowely squeezing off the release and actually did well on both, however, i need to know what would the proper form for the release hand? I noticed some people have their index knuckle even with their ear and others seem to be closer. I was told that this wasn' t correct but with DL on my bow i couldn' t do it and was thinking about tuning it so i can, or should i just leave it as is and shoot with my index even with ear?

Well for starts the string should be in front of the nose at full draw. Not back at the side of your face or beside your nose but on the tip. If your draw is to long it will be hard to find a proper anchor. At the time of the release or " exlplosion" of the shot - your release hand should be back behind your head - if it is not you are antisipating the release.

Also average peep height is 6 inches.

I put my thumb knuckle behind the jaw joint. This puts the string in front of the tip of my nose and the arrow fletch touches the corner of my mouth. This seem to work for me.

An anchor point is an anchor point! As long as you are not tearing your glasses or nose off it doesn' t matter, the whole secret is to find an anchor point that feels natural to you, adjust your draw length accordingly and go for it. If you are shooting consistantly and accurately you have a good anchor point. Mine is the fletching just touching the corner of my mouth.
