What bowstring should I put on my Mathews MQ32?
Time for me to replace my bowstring after 3 years of abuse. I actually have " fireline" wrapped around the bowstring just under the nock due to the wear of the serving. So, what does anyone recommend for a new bowstring? Should I stick with the Zebra twist or go another route? Also, can I shorten my draw length about 1/2" by twisting the bowstring or will that only cause problems?

Did you not like your zebra twist? I' ve had the Z/T on 3 of my bows and IMO, they are excellent strings. That' s what I have on my new MQ1 and the Z/T will be what I put back on it when the time comes.

i have a zebra twist on my pse at the moment with no problems had it for 2 years. Cant remember what i had on it before but the guy at the bow shop told me it was better than a zebra at half the price. I didnt like it, it had too much twist in it. I will probably stick with zebra strings

Winner Choice , they cost more but you get more . I will not even try to tune a bow without at least a winners choice string . Whats the piont in setting it up if your going to have to change it every 500 shoots due to stretch and rotation .

WC,
Just put new WC' s on my MIghtyMite and after a short break in period, I had to twist the string about a half a turn, and the peep hasn' t moved since.
Like the others have said, you pay more for the WC, but, you get alot more out of the string.
The Stone Mountain strings are pretty much even with the WC. If you didn' t know any better, they would fool you.
I have never had the Zebra Twist strings on my bows, and probablly never will. I have read more bad things about the Zebra Twist strings than any other hunting product. I normally don' t judge a product without using it, but, the amount of complaints on these strings is over-whelming. I have heard bad things about string stretch, serving seperation, and fraying strings.

I' ve made quite a few custom strings to replace Zebra strings. I measure each string that I take off to determine the amount is has crept. Every one of the Zebra strings I' ve measured has crept substantially, except one that I just recently took off a 3 month old Legacy. Normally, a 3 months old Zebra string that has been shot a fair amount, would have already crept at least 3/8" or more. The one off the Legacy had only moved 1/8" , if it had been right on specs when made. I' m wondering if Zebra has improved their stringmaking recently. The older ones are definitely not well made in regards to their ability to resist creep. This amount of creep on a single cam will cause your bow to go out of tune very quickly.
