My thoughts exactly. If I saw something like that on tv, I know the first thing that I would do is head out to try and find it. I wouldn't stop until I found it. That would be, obviously, the only thing to do.

Wow, A treestand in the middle of the woods!!
I would not have expected that!

Seriously...how are the 100,000 people supposed to know where it is?
And out of the 100,000 people...how many are couch potatoes who wont want to find it? Im guessing quite a few.

Was there a GPS coordinate given? Or a trail name? Or a map shown?
And if the stand is that easy to find that 100,00 people are going to find it, then it wasnt in a good spot in the first place.

Saw a show last year that kind of fits this screwed up story, went somthing like "the deer population was too large, and hunting wasnt permitted in alot of areas" ... story went on to show 2 or 3 recovered deer that had been shot with field point arrows, just to shoot at, near a local pond/ public area. A wildlife officer saw one layed down way to far off the road to be road kill, found it had been shot out of season, and in a non permitted urban archery area. They did the story with the tree stand visable from maybe 70 yrds from a public road? Some idiot gave the media all the fuel they needed to make us look like monsters. I searched for the news article on google and found tons of storys like it, and one of people sobbing over a wounded deer hit by a car. Please be discrete in what you say about / do with your harvests.
