Ok heres the scoop. Instead of sending in for a regular county tag , right to that counties treasurer, no u have to send ur application to harrisburg with a special mail label for the county u want. Then your mail is forwarded to that counties treasurer. Instead of hunting lets say Allegheny county, you now get to hunt parts of westmoreland , allegheny, and washington ( this is just an estimate i dont have the map right here) but u get the idea.

IMO WMU units are a good idea for PA. It just seems like it is a more accurate way to divide up the state to aid in proper herd management. IMO the state is going in the right direction. Any other opinions on the subject?
the one good thing i see in it is you won' t have to buy as many anterless tag at the get go it covers more area!
