Default Check this link out

The link describes a report taken by conservation officers about three does with badly swollen udders, Local vets made a guess and said they thought it was mastitis, Which I know is also more common in cows. Also try google and search mastitis in deer.

Hope this helps

well it does look like mastitus but also if her fawns died and she never would have gotten the milk out of her udder it would swell up and she looks like a goat lol

I don't think you will have to worry about taking her out, she isn't going to make it that long.

If you take her out, does your State allow for another tag if you bring the deer in and after inspection they determine it is foul? Just curious, as NY does allow this since we have had to deal with CWD over the years.

She's eating and moving fine, looks a bit thin, but overall not unhealthy.

nature will take care of its own. She does not appear to be suffering, hasn't been hit by a car, why interfere? If you want to take her as a hunter, go for it, but I'd suggest that if you wouldn't take her "normally" don't take her now.

I'd have to say it's a mosquito bite... Swelling should go down in a day or two.
