RE: which would you choose?
Thanks guys. Two Beards, I liked my splitfire, but just wanted a change. I' m sellin my splitfire and my darton, and I' m gonna just buy one good bow.
the protec was a single cam. he said it had the redline cam on it. T Fox said he didn' t think the 2002 models had the redline cam, he said it must have been a 2001 bow. which single cam is the smoothest drawin of all the hoyt cams? I' ve narrowed it down to the MQ1 the Q2XL, or the ultra tec or pro tec. all will have to be a 2002 model.
is the command cam a two cam model?
thanks guys

RE: which would you choose?
bogobble, yes, the command cam is a twin cam bow.
Of all the 2002 single cam hoyts, the excel cam is the smoothest, but it only adjusts a total of one inch on drawlength. The versa cam has loads of adjustment, and is almost as smooth as the excel cam.
I am a hoyt fanatic, but I gotta tell you this.....if it is going to be a 2002 bow for sure, I would go with the MQ1. Arguably the finest Mathews ever.
Now if you could find a deal on a 2003 hoyt with a cam &1/2, you might want to reconsider.
