Default Bow hunting turkeys without a blind

I just wanted to know if anyone here has bow hunted turkeys without a pop up blind, and have you been successful. Also i wanted to know how you set up to keep hidden.

I do, just because I like to do it with a longbow. Impossible with a blind. I can't say I have been successful. But close. I just pick a very large tree and stand mostly.

My setups are usually on field edges with decoys in the field with heavy wooded edges or even banks on the edges.

I killed my first turkey ever this year, with my bow, no blind. I just camoed up,,..applied face paint, and used the natural terrain as my cover. I was able to draw when he wasnt looking.

My wife is attempting to do the same, she'll get it done too.

First Turkey I killed with a Bow was without a blind. Setup by a huge tree. Do Not Move when the Turkey has his eyes on you.

It is much easier with a Blind. I have killed several out of a Blind.

I never hunt with a blind, mainly because I've never set out to get one... anyways the most important thing to remember when finding a tree or brush pile or whatever, Make sure that the object is wider than your shoulders. Really helps to break up your outline.
