Default Crazy KE Numbers???

I am reading his comparison between crossbows and compounds in the new Buckmaster Mag. This guy has a performance table from a 20 yr old Bear Delta V @69lbs flinging a 557 grn arrow at 284 fps producing 99.7 foot-ponds of energy?????

Is he full of it or what???

Well.........time to head over to Ebay and look for a Delta V! That' s a full 12ft lbs higher than my 70# Patriot Dually can put out!

I wonder if he didn' t mean to write 184fps........that I' d believe. 284? uh.........no.
NO.

Hey Matt,

Maybe BowTech will be in trouble if these numbers get out I might get rid of the MightyMite, as I know you will get rid of the Patriot DC. These Bear Delta V' s sound promising

There is no way that is true. Lets see, on average, every 3 grains of arrow weight reduces speed by 1 f.p.s., so, the IBO for that bow must be around the 353-355 f.p.s. range. HAHA []

I was 99.9% sure his speed and KE numbers are off. But before I put my foot in my mouth................

He even has old Oneida Aroforce bows, one at 60lbs producing 76 lbs of ke and a 53 lber getting 68 lbs of ke[]

This is what is wrong with most of these magazines. They will get someone that can bs there way through a story and print them. The people here on these sites know better but the average joe blow doesn' t have a clue that they are being snowed.

This is why I don' t buy these magazines.I know more about a bow and or hunting than 90% of the fools that print in these things.
