Bowtech Extreme VFT

RE: Bowtech Extreme VFT
A couple of weeks ago my two choices came down
to the VFT and the Patriot SC. I was impressed with
both after shooting them. After talking with a couple
VFT owners at my bowshop I decided to go with the
Patriot SC because of the higher brace height.

i shot them both they are both nice shooting bows. the vft is a little small on brace height not much but it gets cold here and may hunt late winter somtimes. i own a patriot last year and have started shooting lefthand bad eye bad shoulder you no.anyway i really like the pat so i got another one this year it is a real nice shooter with plenty of speed you won' t be dissapointed but if you hunt early fall i go vft 10 more feet a second is not bad for 3/4 inch less brace.

Got mine last week and it is a wonderful bow. I bought a Hoyt two years ago and thought it was a fine shooter, today I shot my best 4 shot group at 30 yards ever! I was thinking today that for the first time spending the extra bucks was truly worth it!

I got my VFT(70 lb, 29" ) in March and love it, no hand shock and 306 fps from a 370 grain arrow. I shot it along with the Patriot SC and DC, and I personally see no disadvantage to the 6.625" BH. Look at it this way, if the BH is comfortable to you, you' ll get more speed which means you can shoot a heavier arrow at the same speed that you would shoot the Patriot SC, for example. That' s an advantage to me. I' ve already tried a 410 grain arrow(295 fps) and I may go heavier yet for hunting(430-440 grain), which should still put me around 280 fps.
The Patroit DC is camparable speedwise with it' s larger BH, but I just didn' t like the extremely short valley for hunting. A better valley and I' m sure I would have purchased it.

Where did my message text go!!!
I' ve had my Extreme VFT since March and love it. For me the BH was not an issue at all. I actually think it' s a better shooter than the Patroit DC and of course it' s a little quicker than the Pat SC. Utlimately, it' s you that has to live with your bow choice, so shoot alot before you decide, even from other manufacturers to get what' s best for you.

Well the bowtech dealer had a good deal on this bow, I could' nt pass up. His shop had a booth at the DU outdoor festival last weekend in Memphis. Bowtech had shipped him several Xtreme VFT' s. He was shipping back to Bowtech what he did' nt sell. I got the bow new in the box for $579 out the door. Can' t wait to shoot it!!
