Well........He bit the dust

I am 95% sure I found him not 300 yds from the shed - 3 weeks dead off the road. [:@]. I took a picture of his head with the start of this years head gear. He had a good 6" base already, and was starting to branch.

Its a real shame and a big let-down. I did see three others though starting to fork off and looking good, but nothing compared to the big boy.

I have a pic that shows the 5 inch nubs on this roadkill but it is a pretty disgusting picture and I am not sure if I should post it.

here is the pic

Man that stinks Rack! Hopefully there will be another big one around. Email that to me also. I guess the only good thing (not that there' s really any good about it) is that at least you know he' s dead....no guessing and wondering why you never saw him in the fall. I' m sure you' ll still do ok

Man rack that is a bummer if it is him. Actually it is a bummer even if it isn' t. I know how you feel. My buddy just called me last week and told me that we lost two bucks to a van. The farmer who owns the land said that three were crossing the road ( heading right towards our woods) and two of them ran right in to the side of the van. That sure brings a guy down!! I feel for ya buddy.

Put my vote in to post it too! How bad can it be?

A guy hates to lose any buck of that caliber to an automobile. Truthfully any deer lost to a vehicle seems like a waste but obviously a guy can' t change it.

As Don said in so many words. Let' s hope the " fruit of his loins" are growing as we speak.
