no/yes/no/no compound

wolfen I would like to know how you justify the first one? Are you shooting a 150 pound compound with the heaviest broadheads made?

Tazzer...what's up my friend! Well, in justifying that first one, I will answer by saying that the buck I killed last year was just about at that angle when I arrowed him. He was probably a bit more broadside than pic #1 though, but not much. I put the arrow just to the left of the upper section of the front leg. The arrow entered the chest cavity where it stopped upon hitting the ribs on the opposite side. It took out the right lung and then when the buck bolted the arrow punctured the left lung about 6-7 times. He went about 60 yards before piling up. I agree it is not the best shot in the world and I would do all I could to wait for a better shot but if I was reasonably certain one would not present itself, I am comfortable enough with this shot (I guess if he were just a bit more broadside)to take it. Does it matter that this is a monster buck within bow range??? I will be very honest with you and say YES. I've never cheated on my wife but that's not to say that if Brittney Spears was laying naked in the middle of a winter wheat field I wouldn't jump her bones!!! Kinda like an opportunity like this one...you want to remain ethical and do the absolutely best and right thing but let's face it, we're human and we're weak and that is a MONSTER once-in-a-lifetime buck!!! Mind you, I've not wounded any deer for the past 7 seasons so I'm really not that careless, I'm only being honest. Now Taz, of course if I were a gun hunter, this buck would never have gotten this close because he would be laying dead 100 yards away.

At 20 yds it wouldn't matter what kind of bow you're shooting.

I'm just wondering if anyone would try to bust through the shoulder blade on the first deer?

I won't say I wouldn't take the shots but 1, 3, and 4 are all going to turn. One has a tangle behind him and the other two a fence. Besides, you'll probably never get to draw as they stand now. I'd wait a little longer on those 3. Number two looks like a decoy. But, I might as well shoot him.
