Default Humorous on stand experiences. Please share

I'll start with a few humorous things that happened to me while on stand.

1) Last weekend I was bowhunting in the UP of Michigan. The area I'm hunting is on the back side of a hill that has a few houses on top of the hill. Right around primtime, I see a kid walk out on the back deck with a tuba and proceeded to play over and over and over the worst version of "Smoke on the water" that I ever heard. No I didn't see any deer.

2) Last December I was bowhunting in a woodlot in Minnesota. The woodlot is 40 acres of mostly oak trees. Things were starting to heat up for me as I watched a doe and a fawn walk past me to go out to feed a full hour before sunset. Good things were about to happen. So I thought.

About a half hour later, I hear a branch snap from the same direction the doe and fawn came from, when I spot about an eight year old boy with tennis shoes walk within 30 yards of me, drop his drawers and proceed to projectile S#$@# complete with sound. After a little snow clean up he was good to go.

3) About ten years ago I had a nice buck walk straight at me down one of my shooting lanes. He walked to the base of my tree and then started walking directly away from me down another shooting lane. I just wanted him to turn slight one way or the other so I started making a sqeaking noise on the back of my hand. As I'm making the sqeaking noise I catch a movement out of the corner of my eye just in time to see a Great Horned owl with talons out stretched ready to clamp down on my camo face. In a quick defensive move, I start jabbing at the owl with my arrow that was nocked on my bow. The owl just didn't get it and he came at me again. As I'm jabbing wildly at it, the owl decides to sit down on the same branch that I was sitting on.

I look down at the buck and he is standing about 15 yards away looking at me, he snorts and takes off running. The owl now decides it wants a closer look at the camo man and flys to a branch near my right shoulder and sits looking at me.

The owl did fly away when I turned my head, looked him in the eyes and whispered "Axehole".

I know I'm not the only one that is having these types of on stand experiences let's hear some.

This is not really funny, but you can't help but laugh when you see it happen (kinda like watching a kid wreck his bike or trip while running in the yard). I was hunting from a ground blind when I saw an older hunter (60ish) come walking in. He sits in an old oak tree that has fallen over. The trunk is about 3-4 feet of the ground. He sits there for about 30 minutes. Then I hear an enormous crash. Get the binos out to see the hunter pulling himself off the ground. You can tell he is disgusted. Promptly walks off and heads home. Appears to be okay. I just had to laugh once I new he was fine.

This happened a couple of years ago...

I was bowhunting and was about 25 feet up in my climber. Nothing eventful had happened yet as it was early in the hunt. All of a sudden I hear a squirrel in a panick type of chattering for a few seconds which drew my attention that way. Then I see something crashing through the limbs/leaves about 15 ft. higher than me and about 20 yards out. The squirrel fell a good 40 ft. and made a loud thump when it hit the ground! lol It then sat up and sat there for about 20 sec. and then climbed right back up the same tree. lol I couldn't stop laughing the remainder of the hunt.

I have had:

deer smell the bottoms of my boots from a lil 4x4 stand that was about 3 feet off ground, I have had birds land on me, had a squirrel crawl up and stand on my release hand...then crawl up to top of head, had 2 real young raccoons crawl over my legs while sitting on ground bow hunting marsh, had owl land next to face on limb of tree I was in (that was kinda kewl AND scary), I have pulled a piece of tail hair outa a fawns butt when her and her mommy walked by this huge oak I was all backed up into while still hunting with my bow, had foxes walk past my leg standing next to ditch, had ground hog do same thing (same spot), had a raccoon try to get in stand with me (scared the poo outa me/he was not very nice BTW), had a Red Tailed Hawk land next to right shoulder (damn they got some huge HUGE talons)..and this one is from fishing...upstate NY just got done un-hooking a 20-ish inch pike, when I tossed it back into the water...a bald eagle came up over the top of dam swooped in and grabbed that pike before he could go deep...WOW, that was bad azz!

What you all got?
