Just dropped my bow from 30'
I was in my favorite (most comfortable) stand, and have carabiners on each of my hoist ropes. I hoisted my pack and bow and was organizing. I had a hanger for pack and as I undid the caribiner from bow, it slid off rail and landed on the nocked arrow, shattered the arrow and then all I heard was thump!
I climbed down, brought it home changed to field tips and bullseye on the 20 pin, 1/2 inch off my 30 pin...so the Apex sights are tough, that was some kind of shock put on whole bow! I couldnt watch it hit....but at least I know my Hoyt is made like a Hoyt and Im back in the game.
Re heating my carbon activated scent clothes now and had lunch. Now Im ready for anything!

i dropped my bow from that height a few years ago. I was some scared pullin it back for the first time even after visually inspecting it!!! My first few arrows were all over but then i quickly realized it was just me and my preconceived notion that something must be broken. I settled down and concentrated on my form and holding through my shot and all was good. BTW mine was a hoyt too!!

Its a perfect stand. I can see clover field and right on two trails that converge, Its the big oak with a perfect view of all I need to see, especially muzzleloader season.
It may sound high, but its that high for a purpose....what does a steel worker have to saysomething about a treee stand!?/
