Exactly. I use my backpack, a rock, a log, or whatever is closest.

I am going to start taking my tripod with me and i am going to get a shutter release for my camera as well.

This is after the Big Doe got 25 yds from me. 30 yd. recovery.
Wife again taking pic... 3 years ago.

I use photobucket to put my pics on here.. and if you are alone then call a buddy to come help track and have him take pictures.. makes it fun and productive!! if not then use a timer as suggested.. and I just realized that there is a sticky post at the top of the bowhunting forum... haha

I took a screw threaded rod (actually a hanger for curtain rods) cut off the bent end and welded a 1/4 -20 thread bolt at a 90 degree angle. the 1/4 -20 screws in the base of any camera and the threaded rod can be screwed into and tree or sturdy brush. I set the timer and go pose with my deer. Now to figure out how to get help dragging!

If my discription isn't clear I can post a pic of my camera helper. It's small enough to fit right in my camera case.
