UNDER20YDS shooting a flipper rest, you may be happier with feathers. I prefer them unless its wet weather. If you still want to change to vanes; a soft vane should work well. I like Easton Diamond vanes when I use them, but they are a little pricey. Good luck and shoot straight.

If you are going to change to vanes then I would definately advise you to change your rest also.
I use vanes and prefer them but I also use a release and all the bells and whistles.[&:]
If you are shooting with fingers then feathers might be a better choice.

I use vanes exclusively with my compound, however I agree with others, don' t use the vanes with your flipper rest. You will need the fogiveness that the feathers offer, since your fletchings have contact. Vanes will not as easily forgive.

I hate to disagree but I used to shoot a NAP CenterRest Flipper with vanes with no problems.....Set the tip of the arrow slightly inside of centershot and about 3/16" high on the nock point and could get perfect flight w/ Muzzy' s........That said, I now shoot a Whisker Bisquit and feathers......I love the forgiveness of feathers.....

Thanks for all the honest advice. I am leery of making the change, but I switched quivers and the feathers rub together when I take them out of it.Can anyone recommend a rest that would work with vanes/fingers?
