Default need help cant get bow sighted in

ok its less then 24 hours to opening day. and i have been shooting my bow all morning. and i have never had a problem hitting the bulls eye. but i will hit the bulls eye one time. then 6 inches below, then 3 inches to the right. and then inch low. and then i will hit the bulls eye again. my arm is tired i have probably shot 40 times in a row. so based on what i have said. is it my arm is just tired. or is it my sights. i should also say that on the 20 yard pin i am hitting the bulls eye most of the time maybe. maybe an inch or so low. but most of it has been my 30 yard pin. and i have never had a problem hiting the bulls eye at 10 to 50 yards until now. like i said its less than 24 hours to opening morning. and if i cant get my bow dead on. im not going to go out in the morning. and i only have 3 days to hunt the opening week due to me getting married so hopefully i can get it fixed so i can hunt some.

i would say its probably you and arm fatigue. the further the distance you are shooting the more your shot will be affected from dropping or torqueing the bow. Take a break and later take a couple shots and you will probably be fine. I would not move your pins!!! besides where would you move them too-you are all over. If your sights were off you would still throw a consistent group just not where you were aiming.

Sounds like to me your tired, as soon as my arm gets tired my groups go out the window and i start getting stray arrows. I recomend waiting an hour then trying to shoot a 3 arrow group at 30. See what happends, If you still feel tired stop shooting and take a break and then shoot another 3 arrow group, if its still off at 30 yards id say for tommorows hunt id limit myself to 20 yards.

When did you start shooting in preparation for the season? Were you shooing fine from 10-50 yds. A few days before this, or is this the first time you have shot in awhile......right before opening day?

IMO, the worst thing you can do is shoot your bow to much at one time. All it takes is for your arm to start to get a little fatigued and your shooting will suffer, then you you get frustrated and that makes things even worse. I only like to shoot about a dozen arrows at the most before taking a break if I still feel the need to shoot more. It can be hard to put the bow down when you are dead on or when you are off some as well.

i quite for a while couple of hours. but i got where i feel good about a 30 yard shot now. i got 2 good 3 arrow groups back to back. but do to getting ready for our wedding next week. i havent been able to shoot as much as i would have liked to. so thats my fault there. but i need to get back out and start shooting my 40 and 50 yard pin again. i dout i would shoot a deer that far away. but you never know. that just might be the only shot you get on one.

Well, you have to have a comfort zone. Mine is out to 25 yards. But like you say, If the longer shot was the only shot at a truely amazing animal, I would have to venture a tad out of my comfort zone. But on the other hand my early season stand only offers shots out to 20, so I'm good there.

Hope ya work it out, nothing worse than wasting time wounding animals. Honestly it sounds like your better off sitting it out for a while. Your heads not clear and it's a greater chance your going to hurt yourself. The new gal won't be happy if the day comes and your busted up from a fall.

Just chill out. It's fatigue! The most important shot you take when you go out to practice is the first shot. Always take that shot from no longer than 25 yards and judge yourself by that. That is truly the max range that you will need to be deadly on shooting your bow.

Your stand should be set at that distance maximum and most usually are. By the time the leaves fall off completely and you may have to take a longer shot than 25 yards, you will have practiced much more than you have today so stop trippin. You'll be fine opening day. It's your nerves and confidence that you need to worry about and not your pins for opening day.
