3D woes

RE: 3D woes
Bullsi, I like to make my 3-d shooting as realistic as I can. The course that I shoot does not require us to stand at the pin. So, when we shoot, we often will find a window through the brush/tree limbs to shoot through. Or we find a spot where we have to sit or kneel to get the shot under a tree limb. We, just try to change things up every time out. Hope, you have the chance to try this, taking the shots at different angles also at different yardages. Anything would be better than standing at the same pin every time.

You could have a long shot for a half pot.Say 80-90yards or so.Closest to center wins half the pot and the club gets the other half.
You can take a deck of cards and put them on a target butt face down and pay $2.00 for 5 arrows.Best hand wins half pot.But don' t let anyone know the results untill the shoot is over.
You can hold a coon shoot.Go out at dark with a flashlight and shoot some 3-d.This is a blast. We usually only shoot 15 targets doing this.
You can hold a toughman shoot.Make target hard to see.Have them behind bushes and between trees.Longer than usuall or even real close, say 5ft. I like the shots that over the side of a hill where all you see is the back of the target. You actually may have to aim at the ground to hit the target.Better know how the arrow arches to pull this off.

Another one I just thought of.Have you ever tried any bow golf. This requires a lot of ground but is a blast.Especially if you use recurves or long bows with flu-flu arrows.Maybe you could suspend a water ballon off the ground about 2 ft and the first to bust the ballon wins.We tie a jug up and shoot it and the lowest score wins.

You want challenging? If you' ve got a target butt to shoot at, you can play this little game that some of my trad buddies and I play. Take an arrow and tie about 18" of string onto it. Tape a pingpong ball to the other end of the string. Set the arrow on top of the target so the ball hangs about 3" from the face of the target. Back off to 20 yards and the first one to pin the ball to the target wins.
A little breeze makes it even more funner.
