Default some fawn pics

Here are a couple of pics of some fawns I just got on my trail cam. One still have spots, now why would that be?? Did the doe get bread late you think? The other is kind of weird looking. Do fawns shed there "fawn hair" to get ride of the spots so to speek?

Yep, it all depends on when they were born. Had 2 with spots this morning in my front yard. I've seen them in early Oct on occasion, still with spots. We have alot of deer and some obviously get bred really late.

spots on fawns are their "camo" so to speak. once they grow up and stand a better chance to escape predation the spots fade away. I have seen fawns with spots as late as november here in NY.

i have at least 3 in spots hanging around my yard ............ watched one try and nurse from the momma the other day / kinda comical........that little thing was pulling & tugging on the mom's milk pouch - and stomping it's right leg up and down on the ground - this thing was just wound up!
