im getting into bowhunting and going shopping for the whole 9yds in a few weeks or so...what are some good releases to look at?? will the proshop let me try some out before i buy them or not?? i dont think ive ever even been in a proshop..maybe when i was little and dad was getting something there but i dont remember so im clueless...thanx alot...sorry for all my questions...i just dont want to buy junk and have problems and such...and dont have money to waste on junk...id like to get it right the first time..thanx..

If the pro shop you visit is any kind of shop at all they should let you try out a release before you buy it if they won' t then go somewhere else. There are alot of good releases on the market now a days. I' ve always used a Fletcher release (Fletchunter) and have never had any problems with it. I' m still using the first fletchunter i ever bought and have a new one as a backup. It seems to be just as good now as it was when i bought it which was a long time ago.

Another Scott here. I used the Little Goose. I have nothing to complain, except I should have tried the leather buckle to see how quiet it is vs. the velcro. But, it did its job last season.
