Default Bow weight??

I was wondering what the average overall weight of bows used for hunting. This includes: stabilizers, arrow rest, limb savers, sights, quiver (if applicable), etc...

I' m guessing my overall weight is around 6.5lbs.

Q2XL 69oz
Limb saver stabilizer 10oz
Mathews detach 12oz
Copper Johns 7oz
Whisker Biscuit 5oz
limb savers 1oz

Overall 104oz or 6.5lbs

Thanks and good hunting!!

Good question. I think most of the bows today fit with average accessories should fall in the 5-8 lb range.

as long as when you reach your tree stand it doesn' t feel like you carried a cinder block thru the woods, that is the main reason i got a new bow! the old xi was just too heavy compared to the new ones so now i use the xi for shooting in the back yard.[:-]

Recurve with a 5-arrow quiver(with arrows) goes about 3.5#-4#.Longbow with same quiver about a pound lighter.

My selfbows weigh around 1.2 pounds. Really nice when sneaking along a deer trail. [:-]
