The pose was chosen mainly for something different than I already have &recommendations from others that this would show his rack nicely. But looking back, I suppose it does fit the way he came in, head downnose out, dogging a doe.
There really isn't much to the story. I was hunting ohio & had found this spot the previous week. I got into stand the following Saturday morning with high anticipation for the weekend ahead. About an hour after light, he came tailing a doe. He was moving fast and I finally got him to stop for a moment at 10 yds, but my reactions were a tad slow as he'd pushed forward again and the arrow hit back, as evidenced in the field photo. Fortunately he managed to only go about 130 yds and was down in sight after a few very tense and stress filledminutes.
The 2.5 hr + drag may unfortunately be what I remember most from this hunt (andthe partI'd also like to forget). [8D]
