Actually this one is a bit better as you get a bigger map.
http://maps.live.com/
Here is a map in 2d using the birds eye feature? This feature is not available in 3d but the 3d feature is pretty cool.

I like the Maps Live but they are old . I was checking my sister in laws property and it shows her pond field as cut . It has been overgrown for several years . Google maps is a few years old also . It still shows a pool in our back yard that has been gone for almost 4 years .................
Other than that , they are rather neat !

Wow Tony, I just tried that site and zoomed way in. I could zoom so close that I could see your knee pads[8D]

RE: satellite imagery maps
I did not care very much for http://maps.live.com/ link. It looks to me alot like Virtual Earth which I use any ways most of the time. Virtual Earth appears to be a little more up dated. I just got my Earthmate PN20 from DeLorme so nowI will not need any of them for now..
I do agree with this libnk as well though..terraserver-usa.com

RE: satellite imagery maps
I bounce around a handful of aerial map sources and have found that you need to pay attention to when the picture was taken for your specific area...
I subscribed to www.mapcard.com for $20 / year.
It allows me to make detailed maps with different markings/trails and GPS coordinates, etc, then save them to my computer as a jpg for future usage, etc...
The downside of map card is my areas aerial photo was taken in 2005.
However, I jump to another site and then pencil in the changes from another site that has 2007 photos, if I plan to scout, etc.
Of course a drive bye will confirm my findings from the photo and more.
