Default My New HOYT AM32 (Black on camo)

I ended up buying my AM32 onGeorgia ground over the holidays!

She's 2 tone black on camo. At 27.5 inches / 65 pounds I pulled 283 fps with a gold tip 5575. I still need to optimize my set-up ....this is just playing on a bag in the back of the bow shop.

Right now she's not dressed really well and I plan on making the following changes before Oct. 1st 2009.

1) Load her up with a black on gray string and lose the green and yellow.
2) Lose the Trophy Ridge Stblzr... and get her something to match the riser or the limbs...still undecided.

3) Take her to 70 pounds, run with a Goldtip 500 Ultra light & a 75 gr. Wasp Jack Hammer..

With this set up I'm thinkin I'll be right around 290 fps with my stubby arms....My calculations were showing 246 gr. for arrow weight and the obvious 75 gr. on the head...

Its rediculous guys....I can't find a flaw from draw to release...the valley, the noise, its awesome.....paper tuned and ready to go.

Here she is...

Nice bow!

If that UL Pro 500 really weighs that much, you know that arrow/head combo at 70lbs will void your warranty? It will also be way underspined.

At 70lbs, if you shoot a 27" GT 55/75 with a blazer vane, and 100 grain head, you will be much better spined, andat about 285fps........just about the perfect speed for whitetails. If you really want to go faster, and Ultralight Pro 400 will spine about the same and end up just about at the 5gpp limit, should do roughly 290 for you.

+1, I had similar thoughts in my head. Not sure WHY everyone wants the LIGHTEST arrow they can get. What you gain in speed, you lose in forgiveness, tunability, KE and Momentum.

There nice, Brian, I can't wait until a nice AM35 in a 29" draw 70# shows up on the USED market for $450-500, because I'll be shooting one then!!!

Rick....My arrow length will be 28- maybe 28.25 "

I thought the 500 was the spine I needed on the UL's if I went to a 75 gr head.

Am I off by thinkin 400 UL for 100gr. @ 70 pounds and the 500 for 75 gr. head @ 70 pounds?
