I've never been one to measure the precision of my arrows but I did it today..
My Gold Tip Ultra is 246 grains + a 75 gr. muzzy expandable...
Is this ok for my 2009 season?
Too Heavy...??
Yes or No..

I seriously dont know guys...I've never measured my arrows and this is where I'm at with a 75 grain head...Is this where I want to be? I can cut the lungs at 50 yards but I seriously do not know anything about my arrow weight...I've never measured...
Picture a guy that puts a 5575 gold tip on his bow and uses a 100gr head and shoots....everything looks good...
I'M THAT GUY...
So this new set up is cool?

I would rather focus on a minimum KE or momentum figure than arrow weight. Arrow weight alone doesn't give enough information. A KE of 60 LB with a momentum of .42 is a good predictor of potential penetration on a broadside deer @ 20 yards.[8/|]

You can take Whitetails with very light arrows..............
But I think you will be much happier with flight, groups, & penetration from at least a medium weight arrow with a minimum FOC of 12%.
