I would say succesful for me. I started out with two goals; to have fun in the woods and to take a mature buck. I accomplished my first goal but not the second. I did take the largest bodied 6 pointer I have ever taken and a doe. So I am happy. I will be back at it on Wednesday and on Saturday to close out my season.

Well as It's looking I might go without a deer for the 1st time In about 10 to 14 years!![>:] 2 days left to get my deer. My own season- not a very successful season at all being I didn't have hardly any mature buck sightings and now the doe's are kicking my but as well. Allot of the deer have left the woods I hunt and yarding up else where with all of the snow we've got.

Other then my own season I'm very happy to help my dad get himself a nice bear while bear hunting this year. My goal was to get a big bear In front of my dad and my brother and I/we succeeded In both. My bro couldn't quite close the deal on his bear but dad got It done.

Congrats to Sam once again TeeJay!

This year was a big success for me. Seen more deer than i have ever seen before. Shot a yearling doe 2nd weekend of the season, man she tasted good! Nov 2nd i took my first buck with a bow, a 123" 10 pt. Then i killed a HUGE doe with the smoke pole. I just wish i was seeing more deer now later in the year, their kicking my butt right now but ive still had an awsome season. I wish every season could be like this.

Yes and no. Had a great first half season up until I screwed up on a very nice buck. Then lost my favorite hunting ground which put a damper on things somewhat. Found some more new ground but its tough hunting.

On paper it was probably successful to an extent. 1 good buck and a doe with archery gear. BUT, compared to what I am used to(more so in regards to does) it was a VERY poor season. I had the lowesdt number of deer sightings on probably 5+ years.

i have had the best year of my life.
Sept 28, the second day of archery season i killed a nice doe, spined her she dropped in her tracks
Nov 2, killed the second nice doe with the bow, went through both front shoulders, and broke the arrow, buried the slick trick in the far shoulder, went about 30 yds
Nov 11(veterans day) killed my biggest buck to date with bow a 130" 10 pt, complete pass through, went about 20 yds
Dec 7(last day of shotgun) killed a nice doe, about 35 yds away, double lunged her, ran about ten yds
Dec 27( first day of muzzleloader) killed a big doe(biggest to date, dressed at 210#) heart shot at about 50 yds, dropped her in her tracks
So i would definatly say i had a successful year, a year to remember for the rest of my life.....!!!

Thats my season to the letter. I'd have to say fewest deer sightings in 12+ seasons.

Ialways have a good year-no matter horns, Deer or not. Bowhunting is just great fun. My 52nd year of Bowhunting biggame is winding down-I have until the 15th of Jan. to fill my one & only Buck tag (let some little ones pass) & have filled 2 of my 3 bonus Antlerless tags.
I also took two hogs in June in Oklahoma so I've had plenty of shooting.
I still plan on filling these tags but then, I've eaten tag soup on the Buck for 5 years now (fussy).
1st doe Nov. 26th @ 25 yds & 2nd at 10 yds Dec. 22nd (1st day after gun season)
