Late Season Doe
Shot her on Dec. 26 and here's the Story:
Got to my stand around 2:40 that evening and there was 3 inches of fresh snow on the ground from the night before. The snow is pretty deep where I am here in Wisconsin. The snow is rubbing on the bottom on their belly's it's so deep.
Within 5 minutes I had a button buck come through and she came in around 2:50 and shot her around 3:00. 10 yards away and complete pass through as I could see my lighted Firenock in the ground. I had about 2 hours of light left so I decided to sit the rest of the evening. Ended up seeing 10 deer which were all does and fawns and no bucks. She was a nice mature doe and she gave me some nice meet in the freezer that I needed!
Shot her with my Bowtech General, Easton Axis N-Fused arrow, tipped with a 2 Blade Rage Broadhead.
Late season hunting in the snow is the best!
