RE: OUTLAWED COMPOUNDS
Fletch,
...you are killin' me buddy.
JRW,
Do they make a 34 inch tip to tip longbow or recurve? If they do then I want one.
bwrong,
Where have you been hidin' ? I thought I saw a post or two of yours on one or two forums recently but cannot be sure. You have been missing out lately. Not much Mathews threads lately but I have been on downside of many a " discussion" as of late. Seems I am getting somewhat " outdated" myself.

Fletchead,
She' s not dead...she' s sleeping. I' m tellin' ya, it takes some danged SKILL to stalk up on one, lay a bow and arrow on her, snap a picture, and get out without waking her up. Even harder if you use a flash.
Actually, the picture scanned a little dark. That' s brush blocking her nose (which is why it extends above her head). Right where and how she fell. Does kind of look like a muzzle though. [:-]
Here' s a little buck I slipped up on last year. He was busy day-dreaming, so I put my stuff down and snapped a picture or two. Forgot about the bottle of doe scent in my pack though. When the wind swirled it was an ugly run out of there.

PABowhntr,
Sure they make 34" longbows and recurves. They' re called " kiddie bows" . They even make some with wheels on the ends. Most folks eventually graduate to adult bows though, which average around 58 or 60 inches.

JRW,
I am really curious now. How in the heck did you get that dear to sit there so nicely. You really need to teach me that trick.
....Can I drill holes in some of those " kiddie" bows so that I can strap all types of gadgetry on them. I need to feel important ya know.

PABowhntr,
No need to drill holes. Duct tape works great. Electric tape will do in a pinch (holds my Retriever on for bowfishing). If you must drill holes, you can buy inserts for them too...which is how I use a Kwikee Kwiver. One guy I know shoots an old recurve with a fiber optic sight. The guy' s GOOD.
About the deer...that a secret. Email me.

RE: OUTLAWED COMPOUNDS
If they outlawed compound bows they would be after anything that you could hunt with. Guns, knives, stick bows, spears, crossbows, rocks, snares, slingshots, or running them down, anything that would kill an animal or other is the goal of some misguided souls.[X(]
