That bow looks sweet. Can he make another????? my son is 3 now.
That mauser.......... work of ART. I loved mauser's back in my rifle hunting days. I used a sporterized 6.5x55mm swede. Cut down to 22" with a custom stock. Had to have a timney trigger too. I shot 1/2" groups at 100yds with custom ammo. Brings back memories.

When he made that bow several years ago,I had orders lined up for them and all he said was no thanks.
You should see the falling block he made from scratch. Every component except the barrel.
Thanks Schultzy

Thats a very cool bow TFOX. I was starting an osage static recurve for my bow. I was planning on a 30" nock to nock, and 10lb at 12", That way he can grow into it. But after seeing yours is 5lb at 12", I wonder if I am planning too heavy?

Do you think at 4 or so he could pull 10lb? I have just started shaping and rasping it. So I can make it anything I want I guess.

That might be pushing It BC. Most of the recurve's my brother and I shot were In that 5lb range I think (I could be wrong) when we 1st started at 3 years old. Maybe your boy will be a brute like you though and he'll need 20lbs!!

Schultzy is probably right so just make 2.

Well, he is 8month old today, has almost 10 teeth already and is around 26lbs. So he is well on his way.
