RE: Definately worth the time and effort.
I need more info. How many deer are in this study? How many properties? and when were (what time)the loc stats taken? Are these properties every hunted?
I hunt land here in MB where I can go out and grab my stand........ to use for bear(in the spring)...... and there will be 60-70 deer pushed outwhen I walk in. Now deer season rolls around around and I see few deer. Where is the home range of these deer? Study seems limited? DidI push them out for the next 8 months??????
The study seems interesting but will it realisticlly change my hunting??????????

Doc098, it was done by UW-Madison. The did it for a study on CWD and in some deer given tubal ligations in Highland Park IL.
I'd have to look for a link to some of the actual plotted home range/core area maps but here's a link to the basics of the study: http://www.news.wisc.edu/11743
