You can get a used flagship bow from any company you want for in the $4-500 range..2008s at that. Just look around...figure out which bow you want, and watch classifieds like on AT like a hawk....I think AT is far and away the cheapest way to buy a bow..Some of those guys just give em away practically, lol.
Ill be looking for a used 2009 Hoyt Alphamax this spring/summer...if the right price arises, it is mine.

Check out the Martins....I got my 07 Bengal for 400 bucks brand spankin new.
Killed 5 turkeys and 2 deer with it and hasnt caused me any problems...

I agree.. I'm not hijacking this thread but I will be selling my Mathews Outback "hybrid" lol this year.. Once I get my new bow setup..

As far as what bow would I go for? Well last spring, I did this very thing, I bought a used 2007 Bowtech Allegiance, shoots awesome, I'll likeley not a have a new for quite a while....

Bear Archery is the way to go...go to their website and look at the different models. The Instinct, Truth and Element are good bows. The truth 2 in my opinion is the best but is a little more then $500
