length of arrow past the end of rest
Can anyone tell me how far an arrow should go beyond the rest? Are shorter arrows better than longer ones? Should I go for as short as possible? My current arrows are a good 1inch or more past at the moment. Thanks.

Without an overdraw guard, which I do not use, I cut my shaft lengths to compensate for an " adrenaline draw." Once my broadhead is mounted, my " adrenaline" draw has my BH blades stopping just at the front edge of the riser of the particular bow the arrows are matched to.
I dial in my draw-weight to match the spine of my completed shaft.

At full draw, which should be up against the wall, I cut my arrows a 1/2" long of my whisker biscuit rest. It leaves the arrow just short of the front of the riser which is not a problem with mechanical broad heads.

Dont have a bow right now. I got rid of the old cybertec but i usually shot with my arrows somewhere in between 1/4 or 1/2 past the prongs on the rest. If your shooting a modern compound bow with mechanical heads i dont see any reason for any more clearance than that.
