Default Where are they?

Usually in the past, during the later stages of the hunting season, I'd see deer coming out to feed (at various times) from the thicket that I hunt. This year I'm not seeing much of this at all. In fact I've seen very few deer in this area at all this year. I'm getting perfect conditions/wind direction. Last Monday I saw 7 doe come out, but no shot opps. I've hunted every day except one since then, and have not seen a single deer come from there.[&o]Any thoughts/idea's on what might be going on, or not? I'll be giving it another try in about an hour though.

Pressure coming from another direction? Do you always sit in the same general area? No doubt they are feeding somewhere. You might wanna look for a new spot.

My bet is the deer are yarding up. In Dec for me it's a pile of deer or none.

Good luck

The land I hunt is public, and it's bowhunting only. There is virtually no pressure at all this time of year. In fact, I'm quite sureI'll be the onlyone in the parking area today.

Could it be pressure from you? Can you re-locate your stand?

It's not impossible, but I don't think so because I've yet to get bustedat allthis year in this spot. The 7 doe that went throughlast Monday didn't have a clue. Also, when I hunt it I make sure that the wind is perfect, which it will be again today.

Thats' pretty much it for me too. I saw 22 deer last night all together right at dark. Looked like rats coming out of the woods.
