dave it "may" be totally inherent with my rest choice I've made (QAD), but I've had issues with the allegiance.....and I had an issue with the COnstitution. I had issues with the 82nd and the limbdriver (if I remember correctly).

The profile is so high on the blazers that yyou get contact issues with the cables......and/or certain rests.

Now I could totally naive about this....as it (clearance issues w/ blazers)may exist with other bow brands, too. I'm FAR from speaking negatively about my bow of choice.

Has to be the rest/bow combo as I shoot a Ally with Blazers, no clearance issues. I shoot an 82nd with a Limbdriver and large diameter arrows with Blazers, no clearance issues.

In fact I've shot Blazers out of the,

Bowtech 82
Allegiance
General
Guardian
Admiral

Diamond Black Ice
Marquis

with NO clearance issues.

Ben / PA shoots Blazers out of a 101 with no clearance isssues.

well i wouldnt blame the quikspins ,
sounds to me like the bow wasnt in tune,.

even most out of tune bows will throw decent groups with field tips,
but put a fixed head on and good luck.

all the rage heads did was mask your problem of an out of tune bow.
penetration also suffers with an out of tune bow .

could be why you wounded some .

but please dont blame the quikspins,
my QSwill shoot a fixed head right with field tips at 60yds.

either

Most of these occurances are rest issues, keep that in mind. Jeff showed us that QAD's and Limbdrivers do not work well with balzers, on the other hand, my Allegiance and Trophy Taker preform flawlessly with Blazers. Nothing to do with the bow at all. Nothing to worry about with the new bowtech Dave.

Just keep in mind what rest you are using
I'm going to have to say I'm thinking like Bloody on this one. I mean, who has all these "ISSUES". A well tuned bow will shoot just about anything. Me, I love my QuickSpin Speed hunters. Yup, they're frail when you start smacking them together. BUT, they shoot like crazy and deliver the message. I'll live with a torn up vane.

meant to quote this post, duh LOL

i started shooting 2" QS ST's this year. and i could hit masterfly at 40 yards with field tips but stick my muzzy 100 grain on and i might as well have been drunkenly lobbing them by hand ? so i went to rage three blades, which coupled with my bows low kpe and my apparent wobbly knees/lack of tracking abilityi have wounded 2 unrecovered deer this year. I will be starting over from scratch next year ! bow/rest/vanes

i have pink blazers on my 30 inch st epics. i have been shooting them for about a year. yea i no pnk, but look in the woods and where we live there is nothing pink so they are easy to find even in the dirt, but anyway i shot about everyday. i shot for about an hour a day atleast. My targets are warn to death so they go threw my target alot and i have not messed up almost none. now if u shot them through wood it messes them up but it should. but ive hit the dirt and hot them and they are as tought if not they toughs vane u can buy. hope thathelps

Rob:

Do you have to orient your blazers a certain wayto pass by your cables on your ally?

That's an "issue".

Jeff i cant speak for Rob but on my Guardian with the rip cord and blazers, i orient my cock feather out to the side. I have no clearance issues this way.

Exactly, DInk. The "Issue" is....you have to watch how you orient your vanes. I have it on good authoity....that if you don't.....you could cut your ne bow's string.

I never had this issue (vane orientation) until I started shooting blazers.

I don't consider that an issue any more than orienting vanes to clear rests, ie: shoot throughs. If I have clearance, I have clearance and they shoot like a dream. If that's an issue, everyone has issues when they orient their vanes for rest clearance.
