the ethical thing inside me says no But the side of me that has seen that deer just out of range and held my breath hoping it would come closer says yes I would.

Ya know, you have to wonder sometimes how many guys on here are posting stuff under the influence. Not eluding to anything with you specifically Greg, just occured to me. I understand full well where you were going with this. People always want something for nothing, the path of least resistence, would they take this route? Honestly, and obviously, you couldn't keep the shelves stocked.

When is technology going too far?
Personally, I'm holding out for a GPS unit with constant access to network of satellites in geo-synchronous orbit that transmit real time thermal imaging of my location with the ability to zoom into a point that will allow you to detect antler size and will also zoom out toshow a 5 square mile image for determining deer population or concentration in a given area.[8D] (It's probably do-able now.)
What's the saying? Great minds think alike? Oh crap, that can apply to boneheads as well.

Seriously, I thought about that but with infrared so I can spot and stalk without the spotting part.

Absolutly. Someone please give a reason why you wouldn't?

That doesn't mean I have to kill every deer within earshot of me.

Many of us hunt the way we hunt to deliver a certain amount of challenge in the hunt.
Little nugget of wisdom there

Wouldn't be my cup of tea. I thinkalot of us bowhunt for the challenge of getting close, that would take away from it big time. I agree with you Greg, that would be a major downfall for hunting in general. Plus, who wants 15 pairs of highly sensative eyes around when you are trying to draw your bow.....not me. Intersesting post.
