His body sure looks healthy but man is that spot awfully red yet!! Good to see he's still on the move.

Looks like he is doing fine. Who ever kills him next year may not even notice the scar.

Certainly looks like he's moving around ok, and he's not putting weight on that Left Rear leg, which is certainly a good sign. I think you may get a crack at him next year because at this point, he looks like he'll survive this injury.

Poor fella...he'll make it. Everyone knows how resilient they are. Tough as nails...

Just to comment on the particular case, more of a question for everyone...

Do you think he will be a possible "crazy" non-typical next year? Due to the
fact that he is shot this year?
I have read in the past how injuries will prevent
bucks developing symmetrical racks, because of injury. Or, do you think he will
recover from this injury and go on to develop a "normal" rack?
I would like
to see pics of him next year as well....

comments....

I haven't witnessed the following year myself but hopefully he will stick around till next year so I can get some more pics of him.

It looks like whatever buck took those tines off his rack also took a chunk of his butt! As long as that wound doesn't get infected he should be OK. Fortunately it's in a spot that he can clean to keep dirt out of it.

Maybe it'll slow him down enough for you to get a crack at him next year.
