I can't see that deer even being alive If that Is a gun shot wound going directly through the deer In that spot.
It kinda looks like to me that the slug went down his side and grazed him and then hit him in the back ham.
Good eye's!! That makes sense. I wonder too If that bullet stopped 2 to 3" Inside of his ham? If that's the case chances of him making It are much better I'd bet.

Yep this is what I hate about gun hunting. Some hunters shoot at anything no matter if they have a good shot or not.

Yeah his name is Dakota. He's going good and Mom is doing good now. She took him to the pediatrician today and he gained some weight and grew an inch and all the tests came out great!

Oh yeah Todd, here's the pic of the 8 pointer I was talking to you about last night on the phone.

I'm not 100% it's a gunshot wound.

If it is, it looks like it has to be a bullet's exit hole.

I dont think that is a bullet hole ... more like an antler gore ...... if that's a bullet, he is a goner

I agree, I don't see why anyone would assume that's a gunshot wound. It looks nothing like a bullet wound, but very much like a fighting wound.
