RE: What's up with all of these,"Season's Over" threads???
It's never over. I'll be out there with my bow until they tell me I can't have a weapon in the woods anymore. Then I'll switch right over to late season scouting for next year, shed hunting, etc.... A year long process for me. Gets pretty discouraging this time of year when the orange army has been at it for a few weeks. Seems like they have all but packed it in now though and the woods are calming down a little. Had a shooter buck in the middle of a hay field yesterday during daylight hours. Hopefully they'll start hitting food sources again and showing themselves. Good luck to all the late season hunters.

While the bow may be shelved for the rest of the year, my hunting sure won't be. I'll still be out hunting deer with shotgun, pistol and maybe even rifle. I will also try and get out for some predator hunting.

My season never ends, it just transitions into a new year. Just because im not bowhunting does not mean im sitting on the couch gettin fat. Ive filled enough of my tags to justify taking it easy for a little while. Ill hit the late bowseason hard, but its still not "THE bow season." After all the time ive put on stand this year during the early bow, i take the gun season torest andscout for the late season, then pretty much use the late season to scout fornext season. It never ends. Then I get coyotes all winter, and turkeys in the spring. But the whole time, im looking for new stand sites, funnels, etc.
Gotta have something to get ya motivated.
