If your suspicions are correct then he is more then2X as old as the biggest buck i have ever see.

Speaking of, you mentioned you saw him last year and estimated 180"...how big do you think he was in his prime (or do you think that was his prime?)?. And is he the biggest buck you have seen from stand?
I don't think that this buck ever hit much over 185", but I could be wrong.

Last year he was the biggest buck I saw from stand but I had to settle for a 170"+ [8D]

I've seen 3 typicals that were bigger, I shot one of them too.[:-]

I have it on good authority that your the man Greg [8D]. I think its pretty cool that you saw him last year and then harvested him this year on the 1st sighting.

IMO his face tells the story, and he looks mighty old. Must have been part of the army of 300.

sooo....

all the gushing and glowing about how GregH is "da man" and most accomplished bowhunter ever to grace this place is disproven by the man himself. I mean the dude shot adeer that was blind andso old it had to have lost all sense of smell and sound, with one hoof already in the grave. Hell Greg, you did this buck a favor. We'll call it a mercy killing.
I heard this from my brother and my buddy before I even got him to my truck! [>:][&o]

Every time I glance at those antlers.................I'm OK with it!

That's two years in a row for doing that. I think it's kinda weird!!?? But cool at the same time.

Thanks.

I don't think anyone can argue that he is certainly a mature buck.

Great buck with lots of character.
