RE: nw wisc hunters
I'm more middle of the state but maybe this helps. I am seeing good activity at morning and night. Bucks are searching and chasing but does aren't standing for them. Bucks are coming to calls and decoys but aren't quite throwing caution to the wind. I hunt near a field edge and when things are really cookin' bucks will cross it in plain view, right now they are skirting the edge in and staying in cover to check out a bleat. I am not seeing a lot of middle of the day movement eitherso I would say the best is yet to come. Cold snap coming, I think that will be some really good action as the last time it dipped into the 20s a few days ago the action really heated up. Your results may vary.

I'm near Sheboygan Wisc. and the rut is in full swing here....bucks hot to trot and running down does but the does ain't ready yet....fawn bleats and deep doe bleats are working best.....any DIH/DIE scent ( doe in heat / doe in estrus ) seems to be spooking them...weird.
