I try to be as ethical as possible. I don't subject every person I pass on the road to my beliefs and actions just as I expect them to do the same. Forcing people to deal with driving behind a guy with a dead deer in his truckjust seems to define your stereotypical hunter depicted on TV missing 3 teeth, long beard, and uneducated to any extent.

Be classy and respectful...
Good point. Where I live and hunt everyone is pretty much ok with it. I've never had anyone say anything but positive stuff. I definatly do not drive around showing it off. It right to the butcher for me. Less than 10 minute ride.

Where i live i hide it!! First its urban, there are a lot of people that wouldnt approve of me driving down the road with a deer hanging out the back of my truck. Second as its said before i dont want unwanted company. I hunt some pretty good places with big bucks and guys in the area at check stations are always trying to find out where im at, I like it the way it is so i stay low key. I have had a 162" deer stolen out of my back yard! Dont like people knowing.

I try to respectful too but sometimes its hard to do. I live and hunt New Mexico so Sept means elk hunting season. Doesn't matter if the tailgate is up or downif you get a decent elk everyone is going to see it..... or at least the better part of the antlers. I get people who flag me down so I'll pull over and show it. I've also been pulled over by cops who ask if I've been drinking but then start asking about the elk....had that happen just a few weeks ago. I don't mind showing someone but I really try to be mindful of those who don't appreciate either.

Tail gate up. Otherwise, I like being low key. Load it... get home and in the garage out of sight. People have too loose of lips around here and a few have no problem moving into your spots. Then they bring their buddiesand ruin the area.

I hate lying but when it comes to where I shoot my bucks... that is for me to know only!! Well Tyler and the wife know but that is it. I've been burnt even by the boss telling other people to hunt in one of my spots. That torgued me and surprised I didn't get fired when I got into his face about it. [:@] It weren't pretty !! He no longer gets the whole truth and I know a lot of crappy spots he can send people.
