Hang in there man. I know how discouraging it can be. I sat all day Saturday and most of the day Sunday without seeing a thing. I'm in an area where I have seen deer in the past and there is a ton of sign. WHERE ARE THE DEER?!?! I'll go back this weekend and sit some more. I WILL NOT GIVE UP until my season is over. Don't cave! Tomorrow may just bring you the buck of a lifetime................or a nice fat doe!

cant give up!!! anything can happen at this point in time!!

just gotta be in funnels or where the deer want to be...edges of thickets and funnels are some of my favorite spots this time of year...bucks cruise the thicket edges hard scent checking and seeking...funnels work well too to catch them chasing and cruising...

i got 5 more full days left as its looking now...wish i had more....i can sit on stand all day and keep myself pumped "anything can happen" all it takes is being in the right tree at the right time....gotta be out there every second you can

We all go through those tough times. I know I have. You have to just keep plugging along and telling yourself "today is the day" even if you don't believe it. If it were easy it wouldn't be as much fun.

I am having a hard time in East central Illinois. I know the reason here is the rut is still a few days off and the big bucks are still in standing corn. The farmers got planted late so the corn is still in. I think thursday after the cold snap the deer will go nuts.

Hey, don't give it up dude! As you can see, we all get discouraged at times. This season is just starting to pick up. If you get a little down while out in the field just stop concentrating on the hunt and open your eyes and enjoy the nature. Think of how lucky you are to be out in the fresh air while everyone else is working away in an office elsewhere!! Two years ago I didn't even draw back my bow and I left the field on the very last day of the season, in the snow, a bit depressed but determined to make it count the next season.
There's a deer out there with your name on it. Don't let it get away.

It's been slow here in WI but Friday that is all going to change. That cold Front is coming and the deer are going to be moving. They seem to be vary nocturnal right now but it will change you just have to be there when it does.

Remember, where the rest of the deer are is NOT where the big bucks are hanging out. You may just be in the right spot and don't know it yet.

i would have to say that it depends on where you hunt, the conception that pa is loaded with doe is crap in my area, ever since doe came in with buck it has almost wiped them out where i hunt, i found 2 nice bucks where i hunt that i got on game cam and i have put in about 40hrs in my stand to see just 2 small doe, so now my descision will have to be based on 1. do i hunt this area that i know there are at least 2 nice bucks, or 2. there are no does there so there is a good chance as soon as some does near there go in rut , the bucks will be gone... so thats what i have to decide, i have seen no sign of rut at all this last weekend, not 1 scrape, so im pumped up cause i have 3 days off this week, i just hope that we dont miss the rut before archery goes out.....
