Default warmer temps

with the somewhat warmer temps this week, i was wondering what to expect...

looks like temps in the mid 60s with lows in the high 40s for the week..

what will that do to the chasing/seeking that SHOULD be really firing up this week??

i know anything can happen and its really not THAT warm...just curious...

Capt, took the question right out of my mouth. I was getting ready to post this very question. I'm interested to hear everyone's thoughts. Thursday, we're looking at close to 70[:@]

We've got 73 tomorrow here in nothern IL, and we dont cool down til the front comes thru on Thursday.
My thought are you are not going to see a hog of a buck sprinting thru the woods after a doe in the afternoon in those kindsa temps. Pushin them to stay on there bellies til later in the evening. I am hoping mornings will still be good, we have lows near 50. I wont be burning out any spots in the heat.
I gotta believe when that frontPasses thruits going to be go time.

I think it's gonna be a slow week, especially afternoons. The temps for next week look better..........so far. But that could easily change. From hunting just the past couple days, most of the deer movement I witnessed was in the morning. Not to much goin on in the evenings. The activity I saw, was just some little bucks harrassing does. Guys are taking some nice bucks, for sure, but I'd bet they are nailing them in the mornings, when it's cooler.

From what I've experienced, warm temps will keep things slow, until the does start coming in heat, then chaos erupts, no matter what the temp is outside.

But, as always, hunt when you can!! Can't kill 'em on the couch.

Yeah the temps are too high right now but hopefully it cools down quick, and the farmers get the rest of the corn out.

I've been seeing a lot of new scrapes, ground and sapplings so that's always a nice sign around this time of year. I actually had my window open it was so nice outside, about an hour ago though I could hear about 6-7 coyotes going absolutely ballistic.

If you've got warm weather it will generally slow down the rutting activity. BUT the first cool day you get make sure you're out there because it will be a heavily active day. Soooooo, it looks like friday/saturday will be good days here in PA, EVEN if it rains, I'd be out because with the cooler temperatures they will be out looking for a hot doe rain or shine.
