RE: Finally done!
Just wondering if anyone saw the softball sized tumor on the lower neck/breast area? It was external, between skin and hide and about the size of a softball. Weirdest thing...but I have heard of similar things with older mature deer.
I cut it out when caping him and felt how hard it was. Never even attached to the skin, just had grown into hide and attached by strands of fatty material.

Jeff,
Congrats on an awesome deer brother! Which property was this taken on? Anyway, I felt real bad for you when I heard your other bruiser was snagged by some other guy. Glad you were able to put down another nice one.
Good luck with the rest of the season.

It was taken on the first piece that you met me. Where I have the two farm gates. It was all the way down to the creek and a few hundred yards towards the main road. When are you going to get a chance to join me for a hunt? Have you had any luck yet this year?
