That is a great day in the deer woods. Makes you realize that you really can't over call, sometimes. I heard the snort-wheeze several times from a buck a few years ago. Definitely a unique sound. Good luck on getting a shot.

I have been hearing a lot of grunting and roaring too. Only one snort wheeze from my woods tho. It's an amazing time to be in the woods.
Who knows we might hear that magical sound that is the next hot selling deer call and make a million just like Primos and Drury!
You know like the roar and growl that the bucks just started doing 2 years ago.

Wow!!! I've witnessed something similar to that but I was In a tree and there wasn't no mature buck's, just four 1.5's and 2.5's. It's really amazing hearing and seeing them snorting and wheezing and fighting all at the same time. All this action I had was directly underneath my tree. All It took was a hot doe that came by me at 30 yards with a 130" buck right behind her trailing and grunting. 20 minutes later smaller bucks showed up right beneath my tree. Awesome sit It was.
To be on the ground like you were would of been just plain awesome!!!
I'm glad you were able to expierence It. I hope I get to see It again some day.

That would be amazing to witness. Congrats on such a great day. It seems that days like that are when we learn the most about these animals we are chasing.

Having the one buck that close doing what it was had me thinking "You really think he can't see you, heck your on a loggin road !" The way the would sprint and charge one another was amazing. Course I was hoping they wouldn't do the same to me cause I can't move that quick
This really has me pumped about the 5 days I have planned on huntung starting Friday
