They will likely fight you getting unemployment. When you go to your FIRST appeal hearing, make SURE you have aLAWYER. Trust me on this!

I'll be in the same unemployment boat as you. Today I'll be putting in my resignation at my job. I'm just not cut out to be an oncology (cancer) nurse.[&o] The stress level is ridiculous and I would rather deal with the prospect of being unemployed for a couple of weeks. I understand, though, many career fields don't have the number of jobs open as nursing does. Best of luck to you.

I assume that this is not a union position? I would definately touch base with an attorney that has some employment background. I think that if they are selectively enforcing their code of conduct you may be able to file suit and recoup some $$$.

I too WAS a cable guy working for a big subcontracting company for Comcast. It was miserable Piece work!! Lord I hated that 30 foot ladder hanging at a midspan with heavy snowplow traffic. If you did what I did you could be better off. The sad part is I am laid off from a good job and might HAVE to go back to installing cable!!
PS.. Thats a nice deer that I would risk POSSIBLY losing my job over but my wife and kids might frown on it.
