Going with used equipment from a pro shop,ebay,archery talk classifieds I believe you could get started fairly reasonably.Perhaps a friend or parishoner could help you get started.Even a local pro shop if you explained your circumstances I am sure help measure or fit you,you could allow then to set it up for you and you can purchase your incidental items there.$300 or $400 should get you going.
